In New York, education meets diplomacy in practice.
On the occasion of our participation in the Change the World Academy, we had the distinct honor of visiting the Permanent Mission of Greece to the United Nations, offering our students the opportunity to engage directly with the world of Greek diplomacy and international representation.
Through a meaningful discussion with diplomats from our country, the students had the chance to clarify their questions ahead of the conference, while also gaining a deeper understanding of what it truly means to serve one’s homeland at an international level.
We were especially honored by the presence of Greece’s Deputy Permanent Representative, Mr. Stamatékos, as well as Mr. Achilles Rakinas, whom we warmly thank for their time, attention, and meaningful support.
Our day concluded with a visit to the Consulate General of Greece, where we also had the honor of speaking with Consul Ms. Kanara and discovering yet another important dimension of Greece’s presence abroad.
Because MUN is not simply a simulation…
It is an experience that brings young people closer to international politics, diplomacy, and the responsibility of representation.
